Requirements
Must be a resident of the O.R. Tambo District Municipality
Admission to public tertiary institution (provisional or full)
Must be enrolling for FIRST degree or diploma Successful
candidates will be required to stay in university residence
How to Apply
Your application must include the following:
1. Application Letter
Written by applicant
Must reflect social background & academic history
Employment status of parents/guardian
Why the applicant deserves the bursary
Name of local municipality
Contact details
“BURSARY APPLICATION” in subject line
2. Proof of Residence from either:
Ward councillor
Traditional authority (local chief)
3. University admission letter, either:
Provisional, or
Full
4. Certified copies of:
applicant’s Identity Document
parent/guardians’ Identity Document(s)
death certificates in the case of orphans
Matric certificate for candidates who have completed Grade 12
June results for those still doing Grade 12
5. Affidavit confirming the information above is true
